Marshall Health Network welcomes two medical oncologists to Edwards Cancer Institute

Marshall Health Network has expanded its medical oncology team at Edwards Cancer Institute with the addition of Howide Eldib, M.D., and Yury Kachynski, M.D., both medical oncologists and assistant professors at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.
Eldib and Kachynski provide care for patients with cancer and blood disorders, enhancing access to specialized oncology and hematology services through Edwards Cancer Institute.
Eldib specializes in the treatment of breast, lung, genitourinary and gastrointestinal cancers, as well as hematologic malignancies. She will also conduct a cancer survivorship clinic at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center in Huntington, helping patients manage the long-term effects of cancer and treatment, maintain a healthy, active lifestyle and receive appropriate follow-up screenings. Eldib will also see patients at Marshall Health Network - Rivers Health in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.
Eldib earned her medical degree from the University of Tripoli Faculty of Medicine in Libya. She completed her internal medicine residency and hematology-oncology fellowship at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, as well as a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. She is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has a special interest in lung cancer research.
Kachynski specializes in hematology and medical oncology. He earned his medical degree from Belarusian State Medical University in Minsk, Belarus, and completed both his internal medicine residency and hematology-oncology fellowship at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Edwards School of Medicine. “Their addition allows us to build on the comprehensive care available at Edwards Cancer Institute while expanding access to the expertise our patients and families need throughout their cancer journey.”
