Marshall Health Network Launches Women’s Hematology Clinic
Monday, July 14, 2025
Marshall Health Network announces the opening of the Women's Hematology Clinic, a first-of-its-kind specialty clinic in the region dedicated to adolescent and young adult women experiencing heavy or prolonged periods, iron deficiency or anemia, and other menstrual-related disorders.
The clinic brings together the expertise of Paul Finch, MD, Chief of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the Edwards Cancer Institute; and Jennie Yoost, MD, MSc, FAGOG, at Marshall Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Together, Drs. Finch and Yoost provide a collaborative approach of joint visits with a pediatric hematologist and adolescent gynecologist to ensure patients receive comprehensive, whole-person care.
The new clinic offers:
- Personalized, compassionate care for adolescent and young adult women
- Clear, supportive explanations of lab results and diagnoses
- Customized treatment plans tailored to fit each patient’s lifestyle
- Telehealth options to ensure privacy, convenience, and accessibility
“Many young women grow up believing that severe periods are something they just have to deal with,” Dr. Finch said. “We’re here to change that—through education, diagnosis, and treatment in a safe, supportive space.”
